Located in the heart of grouse shooting country of the North Yorkshire Moors and the Durham Dales, Durham Catering Meals In Fields are perfectly located to supply lunches in moorland lunch hut locations, complete with beautiful table linen, exemplary experienced, discreet service staff and fine food that is beyond expectation.
Dressed lobster starters or simple homemade soups on the hoof, terrines and pates, followed by flavoursome hand baked quiches and tartlets and magnificent roasts from locally reared produce, cold grouse or simply roasted chateau Briande of Swaledale or Teesdale beef are complemented with refreshing and stylish salads, bread from our artisan bakery and side dishes to make the mouth water.
On colder days traditional shepherds pies, slow cooked beef with herb dumplings or hot glazed bacon are a warming welcome in the middle of daytime drives. Locally made cheeses also feature heavily on the final course although some of our clients succumb to meals in fields famous Bakewell tart treacle tarts or grand berry roulade for those with a sweeter tooth.
Shoot dinners are another specialty and Durham Catering have catered in some of the finest houses in the north of England and southern Scotland. Our team of butlers take over the running of country houses in order that owners and hosts can relax completely with their guests whilst drinks and canapes are served. One of our master chefs prepares dinner and tables are laid with silver and fine china to create the atmosphere of dinner in a grand country home.
More simple affairs are catered for with the same attention to detail and preparation with meals in fields menus reflecting stunning locally reared produce and combining tradition with a modern styling for presentation. Whether you require dinner at home, from 6 guests upwards or larger – parties up to 600 are regularly catered for.
